Today UT ran a story about a GRB 050904. The story indicated that the observed GRB was time dilated by about a factor of six. (23 seconds of normal development took 2 minutes).

I have not read the papers from which this is based or looked at the data yet, but if this is true about the time dilation, this is a major problem for all models of the universe that assume that red shift is not from expansion.

I have opened this thread so that those people most affected by this can give their view of the data, and/or discuss implications for their theories.
