I had a few hours of clear skies last night. I got to use the new scope too It took about an hour and a half to cool down, but once it did......WOW!
I realize it is a huge jump from the ETX70 to the 10 inch Ritchey-Chrétien optics in the LX200R but I was not expecting to be able to see so much more!
I did not have time to view much but did get to see the Orion Nebula. With the ETX 70 it looked like some fuzzy stars but with the new scope there was so much detail. It was so beautiful! I can't wait to try capturing such beauty with photography!
Too bad we are going to have clouds and rain for the next year....... :
