Now, what magnetic field strengt his measured near the Earth? We measure field in the nano-Tesla range, so that means that this model is roughly 1 billion (American) 10⁹ times too strong, give or take a factor of 3!

And then other observations, e.g. by the Ulysses spacecraft over the poles of the sun, have not shown any signature AFAIK of strong toroidal magnetic fields associated with the outflowing currents.

I guess that basically puts the lid on Juergens
