If you look it carefully, you see it is actually a dune, not a cinder cone. See for example
this recent Opportunity route map. No craters to the left from Sol 952 position. The dark spot in the orbital image is obviously the pile of rock (fresh crater?) visible in the image. Cabo Frio is the tall cliff.
