Unsolved Mysteries … Grand Unified Theory

“Today, one of the major goals of particle physics is to unify the various fundamental forces in a Grand Unified Theory which could offer a more elegant understanding of the organization of the universe. Such a simplification of the Standard Model might well help to answer our questions and point toward future areas of study."

"James Maxwell took a big step toward this goal when he unified electricity and magnetism, and physicists now understand that at high energies the electromagnetic and weak forces are aspects of the same force.”

No one denies that there may be as yet undiscovered force fields completely different from electric, magnetic, and gravitational fields. In fact science is on the hunt for some unifying force to provide the "theory of everything".

From what we know about electric and magnetic fields they are related through Maxwell’s equations. Light, gamma rays, radio waves, etc. have many different physical characteristics and all can travel through space. Any unknown fields might also have related phenomena and in fact could occupy space.

One of the most important aspects of the ISU is the future discovery of a unifying particle. In the ISU, in the meantime, it is expected that the EEP will be the unifying particle and will be the basis for the “theory of everything”.

That “world changing” discovery predicted as part of the ISU will bring with it a new physics. It won’t change what we observe today but it will deepen our understanding of what we observe. It will change what we can observe in the future. It may explain how gravity works, it may explain dark energy, and it may explain everything we ever wanted to know about the universe.

In the ISU it is predicted that it will explain how black holes work and it will explain how a big crunch could form that would be an ultimate black hole of proportions that could contain the “stuff” of our entire expanding universe.

In the ISU it is predicted that the burst of an ultimate black hole, i.e. a big crunch is what we think of as the Big Bang. If it was a hot bang then maybe BBT that part right. If it was a release of what I call Type 1 Energy then BBT has it wrong and the ISU might have it right.

The distinguishing feature though between the ISU and many cosmologies is that there was no beginning and that big bangs or bursts are common in the greater universe. They play a crucial role in defeating entropy.

That may explain why it is more than a rare coincidence that we are here now instead of being long gone as we would be if our universe was one of a kind and entropy had become complete. Maybe we occupy only one of an infinite number of renditions of expanding universes predicted in the ISU.

If T1 energy turns out to be dark energy and the expansion of dark energy into the relative void causes accelerated expansion then what is to keep the galaxies in our expanding universe from converging with other similar expansions and forming new ultimate black holes as predicted in the ISU?
