I think I know what you're getting at here, but I have to agree with Glom. While in the philosophical sense the truth cannot contradict itself, the historical record sometimes legitimately does.

Truth does not ever contradict itself. However, our
understanding of the truth will contratdict itself due to human nature and error.... Filtered through our perceptions and memories, things do get distorted, but as long as the intent is there, Truth iwll eventually win out...
