While I have some sympathy for your position, I can not mourn the demise of the Ewoks or Jar Jar Binks. They got what was coming to them.
I do however feel that Uncle Martin has been badly treated. Bill Bixby was elevated to Hulk status, while his Martian Uncle Martin only gets the part of a most human and cranky jurist on Picket Fences. This seems unfair to me. He doesn't even dare to extend his little antennae.
