Whenever I click on the link in an email notifying me that there has been a response to some thread I'm watching, I'm taken to the very last post on the thread, rather than to the first post I haven't seen yet!

It's very annoying. If there have been several new posts overnight, I have to scroll back through the thread to read them.

What am I doing wrong?

Could this be that the email points to the update for that particular post? Therefore, if you open the last notification first, you'll be at the end.

I've just been clicking on these links. Until yesterday they took me to the very latest post on the thread. Now they're taking me to the first new post since I last viewed the thread.

Looks like the individual post is not referenced, so it's not a problem with the link or notification, but a function of log out and new post as discussed here.

Dagnammit! It's acting up again!

I never bother logging out. When I'm finished, I just close my browser.

phpBB used to take you to a specific post- VB takes you to the last unread one, so sometimes you get logged out or you don't go through all your emails at once... problem... annnoying yes HEAR! HEAR!
