I just want to congratulate the BAUT board on today notching up its 7000th Poster!

That is an extraordinary achievement for a Forum and a great testament to the hugely informative contributions that are continually made here, and also the very friendly and welcoming community feel here that pervades all the discussions. To that much congratulations must go to all involved but especially to Fraser, the BA and also to all the Mods who do such a great job at keeping the peace whenever potential spot-fires threaten to break out.

Well done everyone, let's power on towards 8000!

You could be onto something there, maybe you could get in contact with Wayne to pass on this advice so he has something new to do, rather than actually spawning these zillions of little wannabees.

At current count, I get 7892 posters of 13855 BAUT members, 56.96%, wonder how that conversion rate compares?

As for counting sock-puppets, I think the member list is devoid of any banned posters, so I don't think that's a problem - although there are a number of other sock-puppets there, Grapes of Wrath, kilopi etc. - but I have no idea how many of these there are.

Where do you get your numbers? I see # of members in the statistics on the main page, but not # of posters.

I think he may have just went through the list on members until he got to the ones with no post count and then producted the pages before with the number lister per page, plus the ones that didn't fully make a page...

Well, that's what I would've done if there wasn't a number already listed...

Yep, mickal is right - just ordered the posters highest to lowest and went to the last page with posters.

Lots of 1 post efforts, and from memory its about page 275 or so that we start hitting the zeroes.

Ok, well, in the past 6 months - there have been 1000 new members to post - as I've just checked the posting numbers and its up 8131 BAUT members to post.

At this rate by about June 2007 we'll surpass the 10,000 Posting Member Mark.
