My first question is, wasn't this guy banned? But it looks like he isn't.

My second question is, is it acceptable to post extended quotations from this forum in another forum? A lot of this thread seems to be copied here. It says "mirror" at the beginning of the thread here, but it is not a faithful copy, it is heavily edited.

I feel like extended portions of posts should not be copied somewhere else without the permission of the posters, but I'd like to know what others think.

He was banned on one of the two forums before the BA+UT merger, and so had membership restored. He hasn't come back. Your question about the ethics of copying the posts from this forum to another forum without explicit permission from all participants is valid. So even though you are a sock puppet for a banned member, I am leaving this post, and thank you appreciatively for bringing this to our attention, and invite anyone impacted by this to comment.

Yes. Because of board rules, I won't go into it too much, and luckily I never got into a personal argument with him, but after I saw some of the things he has done on other boards I would never try to have another discussion with him. There were things that would get an instant ban here, and made me wonder if legal sanctions might be warranted.
