Default Nancy on short-wave radio

I wanted to title this "The brain-dead talking to the brain-dead," but since the BA doesn't like ad hominems, I thought I'd better not. I don't like ad hominems, either, but what can you say when the host talks like this:

Quote:
We have Nancy Lieder with us tonight, folks. You know, the Earth has been rebuilding itself and reshaping itself six consecutive times. Now Heaven and Earth were changed in every catastrophe, the ancient people said ‘You know, we just seemed to get our civilization going again, and along came one of these comets, and bam, there we were right back in the stone age again, we had to start all over.’ And this has been going on and on and on all throughout all of our history. Our history has been rewritten, that we just live in this little Disney Land, OK, well I’ll just make money and go shopping and everything is just cool. Well, we know that’s not the reality here as we look beyond this matrix of evil. Six times the Earth was rebuilt without entire extirpation of life on it but with major catastrophes. Now we’re talking about pole shifts, people. Six Ages have passed into the great beyond. Now this is the Seventh creation, the time in which we live right now. The time in which I’m speaking to you with my voice tonight. Its an honor to be with you tonight in these last moments of this time, this great time when we are morphing into a new being, we are morphing into a new type of human, the majestic beings that we were meant to be, our DNA is connecting.
And this is after he says:

Quote:
Well, this is not a New Age or mystic peasantry or some conspiracy theory show.
The whole thing is here:

Nancy NEEDS an ad hominem and I can think of a few. She is so desperate, (no mainstream media will have her), she's resorted to short-wave rado? Pathetic!

Hello,

Hm. Quite the interview... I know I am preaching to the choir here, but...

Quote:
Justin:Without further ado, its my pleasure to introduce Nancy Lieder. Could you speak Nancy to, you mentioned yesterday, we were talking on the phone, that we’re 10% closer to the Sun?

NANCY: Yes, this is my understanding. And I get this, basically, from, well I’ll mention it on the air waves, I haven’t mentioned this up until now, but the Zetas have taken me, not in physical form, but my spirit with them in out-of-body, snooping, I have no other way to describe it.
Thus, she postulates that we are nine million miles closer to the Sun than we have been in the past (and we failed to notice), and that she learned this via Zetan out-of-body experiences, in which she has been 'snooping' on astronomers.

Quote:
"the out-of-body I’ve been privileged to go, is astronomers in their observatories, taking a measure, and reporting, to .. whoever .. up in the US government. And they have said 10% further in, 43% greater brightness in intensity of light.
And yet light meters fail to record this. Can she indicate what observatories these are? And perhaps a more specific whoever?

Quote:
Brightness can be measured, and people have said the Sun is way too intense when you look at it.
But not when you measure it, Nancy!

Quote:
We’re having much too much warmth, and where the planets are, and the Dark Twin coming up behind us, its been seen on the horizon after Venus sets, and its a big hunk of very black like magma, so, we don’t see dark asteroids, so its difficult to see this guy, it doesn’t reflect that much light, but all of these things are indications that we’ve stalled.
Except that the constellations continue to rise and set precisely as predicted. Except that GoTo and equatorial telescopes everywhere continue to function exactly as designed. Except that even ancient navigational equipment continues to perform as designed. Except that ancient astronomical structures continue to line up. Except...

Quote:
Well, we went out and looked at Polaris, then, knowing that, and found Ursa Major to be 15° too far to the West, and at an odd slant, and Polaris 7-8° too far to the West.
And yet, she continues to fail to understand the impossibility of this. How can part of the sky be a certain number of degrees of, and yet a different part of the sky be a *different* set of numbers off? The stars aren't moving; the Earth is (or suppsedly isn't, if one is to believe Nancy...).

Now, if Polaris were truly eight degrees off, then the point that is assumed to be the center of the great sky wheel is now incorrect by the same margin. Therefore, *nothing* will now rise or set on time, anywhere. I don't see how she doesn't understand this...

Quote:
JUSTIN: I was on spaceweather.com today and it said ‘Earth is passing through a stream of debris from comet Thatcher’. And I thought that was a nice way for them to cover up a lot of this.
Groan. From the absurd...

Quote:
Nancy:People see an orb in front of the Sun, if they use a welder’s lens or some sort of a shield like a double up on sunglasses, some people use the plastic in a floppy disc, or from a Polaroid, that they’ve peeled off of a Polaroid photograph, but whatever is enough to make it comfortable to look at the Sun...
...to downright dangerous advice. Okay, that's all I can handle for one day.

Sigh.

Jonathan

One small correction please!

Nancy was NOT on "Ham radio!"

The frequency noted in the link is not in the ham bands, and broadcasting per se is not allowed in the ham-authorized spectrum.

Justin is either operating in spectrum allocated to international broadcasting or is a pirate. I don't have the full spectrum allocation chart handy to check on that particular slice, but if he is a pirate, I will see that the FCC is alerted to his email address and location!

Edited to add:

I checked. The frequency cited is in the authorized U.S. international shortwave broadcasting spectrum. The program content is sure suspect, but the frequency is legit!

I never knew that it was possible to broadcast at 5.085 mHz :-?

I assume he meant 5.085 MHz.

No sweat, but thanks for fixing the thread title..

Most people associate short wave and Ham (like green eggs....)

If it wasn't Nancy, I wouldn't have bothered.

It would appear that Justin Case is being broadcast on a FCC legal HF station. WGTG is licensed by the FCC to broadcast on the HF bands and uses 5.085 MHz USB.

I have a Skymap program and there are on-line programs that will also show you, for your location, and put in the current date, such as April or May or whatever, 2004 .. what you should be seeing, and you can say ‘all right, true North, I should be seeing’ .. what kind of view, you can print those off, take it with you, and compare what you’re looking at to that. And you’ll see the differences. I recently heard from someone in Italy who said that Orion last night was at 260°. Zero is dead North, 180° is dead South, 270° is dead West. He said Orion was at 260°, not at 250° where it should have been. So when I get those precise measures, and I get them from people all over the world, I put it together and it all jibes, and they are telling me, from the pieces of information they have, what the tilt and lean is doing after every sweep. Sometimes we’ll have a sweep and they’ll say ‘holy cow’ suddenly, this or that happens, it went 20° further in this direction or that direction.
from

http://www.zetatalk.com/index/case0402.htm

magnetic variation in italy is 10-15 degrees depending on where you are
fromhttp://www.geo-orbit.org/sizepgs/mag...l#anchor601698
(warning fairly large magnetic map pics)

wonder if these people may just be mistaking magnetic north for true north ??
(how do zetas find north anyway if there isnt any zeros #-o )

Surely if you are going to start a conspiracy theory it is best to start with something that might have a grain of truth or reality in it. To start with the preposterous and go downhill from there is just stupid. steve(primus) (Avatar)

If theres no zeros: How many apples you got left when you throw out the last one? A: "theres some left under my fingernail"

Clearly an annoying smarty pants culture.

Bigger question is, if one is cruising around in a car on earth, comes to crossroads with a stop-sign in it, does his brain implode?

Well while we're hovering on the subject, heres another smarty pants/thread hijacking quote:

His answer: Today and tomorrow...

Hmmm...this show goes out on WWRB on 5.085 on Sunday nights at 9:30 PM...
WGTG is listed as being in Tennessee, but the license information I can find shows it expired back in '02...and WGTG is showing as having a maildrop at Pirate Radio Central...a Googling came up with a posting on a discussion group that seems to indicate that WGTG is back among the legit, supposedly being owned by one of TPTB at WWRB...at least the names match...

In any case, this is one of those 'pay in advance and expound as you please' shortwave stations in the US southeast. I'm sorely tempted to get their rate card, and if it's not too outrageous, we could put together a half hour or so debunking these noodleheads...hmmm...

[cue spooky theme music]...Welcome to The Paid NASA Disinformation Agent's Hour...I'm your host, Agent qlf52...tonight, we discuss why Planet X isn't, when and where men landed on the Moon and the evidence that backs it up, and why Richard Hoagland's insistence in the existence of The Face On Mars is based in the fact that his mommy wouldn't let him play in the mud as a child...we'll be right back after these words from Mad Milton's Used Black Helicopters...[fade spooky theme music]...

Whaddaya say? Who's in this one with me?

Announcer:

"Friends, as with so many people in this great land of ours, do you have trouble sleeping at night? Do you find yourself up late worrying about brown dwarves? Do the letters "G", "L", and "P" keep popping into your head? Are you suffering from headaches caused by reading about pole shifts?"

"If any of these symptoms fits you, worry no more. Cutting edge technology and leading edge scientists at the BABB Institute have now developed a guaranteed cure for your malady! What is this miracle medicine that will cause you to hear the word "Nancy" and think it's just an ordinary name? This revolutionary discovery is called "X-Lax" and is available only through this program. Be among the first 100 callers and you'll also receive a free sample of our newest dietary supplement "Hoag-Ban" which will, in just seven days, allow you to look at JPL photographs and see nothing but what's actually there!"

"So, call 888-555-1234 to order these important new advances in strong medicine for weak ideas. The total cost to you is ONLY $19.95 plus shipping, handling, and where applicable, sales tax. Operators are standing by. Please note that this offer is not available in Wisconsin."

"Now back to our regular programming..."

I have a QSL card from this station, which means I got a card confirming my reception. I was really bored at the time and even so it required listening for about a half hour... I'm amazed I followed through with it!

Ooooo, pick me pick me!!! For all interested parties, you can get an hour of transmitting time on shortwave station WBCQ up in Maine for $20 and hour (at least that's how much the cheapest was when I checked). Granted you wouldn't get a very good hour, you'd probably have something in the graveyard shift, but the door is open!

Well guys, don't get terribly excited just yet: I forgot to mention that you have to get your signal to Maine somehow and pay for that. Which can cost a bundle I've heard.
I'm sure if Archer17 and I wanted to we could either take over Complex Variables Studio or beg for help from Radio Free Bob.
Don't worry guys, next year when I'm in college I plan to have a radio show. So you guys can be my guest speakers.

I've seen mention of rates in the $50 to $200 per hour range. Just send your favorite form of recording media to them and they'll broadcast it.
