I apologize.

In 200 million years the Earth has gotten more than 17,000 hits while the moon has gotten 1,700. Our environment has covered these craters but this is not the case on the moon.

Taking out less than 10 percent of what would have hit the earth is a small percentage but it is just part of the Drake Equation. Each little bit counts.
Are you assuming that all of those 1,700 impacts would have hit the Earth if the moon was not there? Every little bit counts.

Yes I am. This is because in the grand scheme of things the moon is extremely close to the earth.

Oh, dang. I am not illiterate, but I missed that completely. Sorry, Lance. MILLI TO THE RESCUE. :-# That still doesn't explain why everyone keeps spelling Ad Hominem wrong?

You assume to much, I think. Objects have come within the Moon's orbit and not hit the Earth. In fact, I can think of a recent close encounter with such an object. It easy to imagine many of those 1,700 lunar impacts posing no danger to the Earth.

The second one was using sock puppets, namely Debbie Fire Fox, and Debbie Fox Fire.

Banned. The thread is also locked. And I will be going through it more carefully to se what other tidbits I can find in it too.
