Default Is this Article Reputable?

For no particular reason, I was researching mass extinctions this morning. I came to this website:

http://www1.tpgi.com.au/users/tps-seti/crater.html

Which I thought looked well reasoned and seemingly reputable. I mean, it looks like the guy has done his homework and has data to back up what he says. Then I get to the very very bottom, in the See Also sections, and he has links about PlanetX and nemisis. So, is this a woowoo site or what?

The concept of Nemesis - that some body in the outer solar system perturbs comets at regular intervals - is a mainstream hypothesis, even though it's still highly speculative. And there's nothing inherently wrong with the concept of a "Planet X", either, so long as you're not claiming that the planet somehow manages to scoot through the inner solar system every 3600 years or that it's here now but only true believers can see it.

Here's an old post of mine from another PX thread that might be helpful.

Quote:
That all depends on what you mean by "planet x"

If you mean that there could be a planet-sized object out in the Kuiper Belt, way, way beyond Pluto then I'd say yes it is possible.

If you think said planet has a hugely elliptical orbit that takes it into the inner solar system I'd say, no.

If you think said planet has a connection to aliens visitng us I'd say NO!

If you think said planet causes pole shifts on Earth I'd say NO!

If you think said planet is related to the rise of Cthulhu I'd say - maybe 8-[

About extinctions by Sol's companions or by any other means, according to the article(link below) they happen every 62 give or take 3 million years and since the last one was 65 million years ago, we're due any day now...

I posted a reply here, but then I saw that this is a duplicate discussion, so I guess we better continue this here.
