Default More on 2012 from India Daily

I know this "news" source is a joke(it looks kind of like National Enquirer), but this was too hard to resist. It's just not fashionable these days, it seems, to ignore that year!

What is hyderabad? I have never heard of it.

So, large asteroids drawn as a result of the earth's weakening field? Why would that happen?

And I guess our immune system is somehow connected to the magnetic field. They must have also read the minds of the aliens #-o

That sounds pretty similar to the "Orion prophecy" that also said something about the relation of 'magnetic field reversals" in the sun and the earth. Woo woos must be running out of ideas :P

Default Always Amazes Me...

The 2012 date always amazes me. It's been thrown around so long and so wide that most hookum addicts don't even know it's original importance. Heck, I've been following this stuff since high school, and I'm still not sure if it originates with Cayce or the Mayan/Aztec calendar..... It would be interesting to isolate this one date and put up a timeline of every mention back to the original calendar, diagraming all the references (ie...graham references von Dienikein(sp?) references Cayce, etc.)

I have a feeling the diagram would be about as complex as those diagrams of the web.....

While we're on the 2012 subject, I ran across this:
www.satansrapture.com/nasa2012.htm by one "Pastor Harry" of the Internet Curch of Philadelphia (Isn't that a hoot?)...NASA calls Sedna a "Comet Planet"?...Don't remember hearing that! And of course, there must be a hidden ulterior motive to the Deep Impact project: IS THIS TARGET PRACTICE FOR THE DOOMSDAY COMET: 2012 AD ? Ah yes, 2012 is only starting to gain momentum!

As stated in other topics, People don't realize how far away the planets are. Sedna is not one mile, It was around 400 Miles wasn't it? TOTAL DESTRUCTION! [-X Sedna would have to be hit by something atleast half it's size for it to EVER come here! And that would take around 20 years anyway! Would probably smash into Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune, or Saturn!

Actually, it's a typo. It should read "Hyper-bad", as in much worse than bad.

India Daily is run out of Whitehouse Station, NJ by a guy named
Sam Adhikari. What is sad is that some people actually believe
the stories he spreads with sources like "some astrophysicists" or
"geologists at suchandsuch university".

It's supposed to be a proper news site. Doesn't mean that it is, though... ](*,)

There was this nice India Issue of Av Week & Space, showing a satellite being towed by oxen.

I'm serious.

You know, I've always loved the towing equipment of space agencies, and the link to the personality of the country.

USA: custom build very special high tech caterpillar platform. Works, but maybe a bit overengineered.
Russia: good robust simple everyday trains. Works.
Europe: train wagons, pulled by trucks. Seems strange, but somewhere down there there must be logic. And hey, it works.
Indiaxen. At least they've got feeling for tradition. 8). I have some questions on decontamination issues, but that can be solved of course.

On topic question:

What is India Daily? Is it meant to be a parody, or is it trying to be a serious news source? My guess is that it is a sensational news source, which often misses the turn really hard .
