Default This is what Nancy has come to...

Draining bathtubs are proof of Planet X

What I'd like to know is; exactly *who* is threatening astronomers to keep mum about all these "anomalies"?

I mean, do "they" threaten everyone who purchases a telescope? How the heck do "they" manage this? Just another little loose end that Ms. Leider never seems to address.

The gubbermint, as far as I know. Nancy always says the gubbermint is trying to manipulate the PX catastrophe so that they can rule the world with an iron fist afterwards.

In order to do the things she claims they do, they have to rule the world with an iron fist already. 8-[

Since Cliff lives in Seattle, clockwise would be the right direction for his bathwater to drain, if there were one. So this must be proof that Planet X has gone away!

Perhaps the possession of something resembling sanity and critical thought hindered you.

In the BA's book, the myth, at least as perpetrated for profit by a fellow named McLeary (good name, his tourist victims should be "leary"), is drains drain (without the help of Drano) clockwise in the northern hemisphere, and counterclockwise in the southern hemisphere. As the BA notes, these are the wrong ways if the directions were attributable to the Coriolis effect (e.g., low pressure systems).

Or are you saying they don't have bathtubs in Seattle?

(I know they don't get much sleep there...)

Yup, that's the EEEE-VILLL gubmint that's going to rule the world after the world is destroyed. :-?

The preceding was brought to you as a typical example of Lieder logic by Woowoos-Я-Us, a holy-owned subsidiary of the Free Enterprise Mission, one of the CCCCT companies.

They also seem to have an infinite budget to manage to bribe/threaten all these people into submission AND keep such a close eye on them. I mean you'd probably need at least an agent per targeted individual. How do they pay them AND manage the rest of the country?

And here I know two Government ministers and unbeknownst to me they've been hiding all this knwoeldge and supressing the local astronomers the whole time. 8-[

They must be spiking my Black&Cokes with mind-control drugs!

Maybe that game is worth playing. How much of it is plot, and how much is shoot-'em-up filler?

Most of it is a very smartly done shoot em up, esp. using the gravity gun all the time, and the "bug bait".

The story is often given to you in chunks. It's always there in the undercurrent, but not often spoken outright except at certain points in the game. The thing is, it feels more like the middle chapter in a much larger story. So it's clearly not over.

It's printed on a little slip of paper included with every telescope along with a warning to pass said little slip on to whomever you sell your scope to in the future. A bit like the draconian Microsoft EULA's, actually.

It's a pretty good mix. You're given plot, a reason to do certain things, and as you're doing them other plot points come up. Snag the demo, and you can play through the 'abandoned city' level, which shows off how well the plot and shooting blend.

The nice thing is, if you buy the Silver package to download through the Steam website, you also get Half-Life 1, which has been redone in the new engine. It's an incredibly long download, but it's worth it to me.

Uh oh...I didn't get that little slip of paper with either of the two telescopes I bought used. #-o

That explains the black Suburbans I've been noticing lately.

The PTB did, however, make me lose my first Baader solar filter.
