Well, your post wasn't very clear, and usually, without a direct reference, qualitative comments in one post about another post apply to the one preceding. So I take it for you it's OK to poke a little fun at a person's name and not their well-documented "area of interest" (that we're seriously trying to help them with by using science)? :-?

Might I ask about copyright? Is Maksutov's copying of the cartoon in this article fair use? How?

Meanwhile, here's a revised version of my original post, designed to meet, to the letter of the law, 01101001's BB standards.

There. The original image was 770 x 578 pixels. The sample from that image is 235 x 185 pixels, just under 10% of the original, and therefore strictly and anally legal. BTW, the sampled area didn't include the sign, so the faint-of-heart need not worry.

Also, I just had to leave in the (slightly-modified) comment on lawyers. Shakespeare had it right all those years ago.


PS: Back in 1906 Charles Ives quoted, in his ground-breaking piece Central Park in the Dark, the famous song Hello Ma Baby, written in 1899 by Joe Howard and Ida Emerson, said song still being under copyright. Perhaps 01101001 should send Ives an admonitory note warning him about the potential consequences of such practices!
