Does anyone know what some of the best canidates for gravitons are? And what are there properties? I was watching that PBS show on strings, and it mentioned that gravitons are superdimentional?

if you like to have an uneducated mindboggling guess, then here is mine:

What's called graviton are two particles which generate a "2 dimensional" stress field, kind like a childs soapbubble blower circle with the soap, ready to blow a bubble, with stress waves extending in the 3rd dimension.
The lifespan of this field is very short, depending on the spin of both particles, and when it collapses it sends out a gravitational wave at right angle away.

In a normal atom, or even in a neutron, the interaction only is limited to within that part.
But with blackholes, this might even be increased due to the fact that more of these particles within reach to generate gravity within one spin cycle.

How does it intereact with other particles?
It just aligns the direction of the field generated by two other particles. Nothing more.

Now, that was fun

Well the theory goes...Gravity happens because of the emisson of gravitons. Gravitons are basically massless and travel at the speed of light. The bigger the object, the more gravitons that are emitted. Like photons, they have an infinite range because they do not have any mass.

Some people think that gravitons can not exsist because of the law of conservation.

But gravitons explain string theory(it was the missing part of the equation on string theory that Einstein started with) and how gravity can exsist outside a black hole quite well.

Then again some people argue that you should not throw out the law of conservation every time we encounter something like a black hole and that a curve in the space time continum might account for this.

Anyone else what to comment?

Hello readers,
I think there is no gravity. Gravity means that all of the planets and other objects
of the universe have a power to attract each other. But I am sure this a wrong
theory. In fact we are all floating in the vast sea of space and the space is pressing
every thing in the universe. The presure is not like you press any thing with your
hands or any tool, but it is a unique kind of pressure. It can pass through any kind of substance may be hard like diamond. its force acts on the substance to pass through it while there is resistance due to atoms of that substance. Just to make easy its way through a substance it gives rotations to electrons of that substance. So the electrons are the main cause of weight. IF THERE IS ONE ELECTRON, THERE IS LESS RESISTANCE AND SO LESS WIEGHT AND IF MORE ELECTRONS MORE RESITANCE SO MORE WIEGHT. There will come a time when all the world
will accept my theory. There are so many other facts to prove my thory. You can contact me. TARAJEE [tarajee20@hotmail.com]

I'll bet you're talking about neutrinos right here.

I don't think electrons rotate.

How in the world did you come up with the idea that electrons had resistance - what do you mean? And, I don't think the # of e- has anything to do with one's weight...

Tarajee, I think you are waaay off track.

Remember: Spacetime ends at a black hole. A blackhole has no volume because it is a rip in space. Think of spacetime as a piece of cloth. You have a rip in that cloth...the rip is a blackhole. Obviously, matter cannot exist within that rip. However, Energy might. So the scenario is: at a blackhole, a rip in spacetime, Energy sucks in matter and spits out radiation. Bosons, of which graviton is one, are energy particles rather than matter particles. So I think that gravitons, in the end, are part of a dimension that overlaps spacetime in the universe, so when spacetime "rips," this dimension doesn't, thus it becomes revealed to our 3+1 dimension universe, and the two intermingle as the energetic gravitons from that other overlapping dimension "suck in" matter from our universe, and burps or hiccups in the form of radiation.
If this is too confusing or complicated for anyone, please let me know.

I am very much pleased to see that some persons from whole of the world
are reading me. In fact there is nothing complicated. Go back twith the time when
the theory takes a start. From a tree an apple falls on the ground. There are only
two possibilities. It was pulled down or push behind. If we accept that the apple
was pulled down and so it is clear that earth has a power that we have named it
to be the gravity. In such a case you can't fix a point in the earth where the
gravity comes from or in a simple way you can say the whole mass of the earth
or of a planet is the main cause of the gravity. So each and every particle will
cause attraction. Just imagine what will happen with the life on earth. Every particle on earth will stick togather. You can't take a breath. It will not be possible to drink water. I am afraid I can not count the problems. Nothing can grow on the earth. Totally loss of complete life.
Here I am not talking about the things which have no mass. So the apple was not
pulled down but was pushed from space. The space power do not allow anything
to go upwards. All the sky objects , floating in the space, are in the grip of space
power. There are so many fair objections against the present theory of gravity.

Tarajee, the force of gravity is much weaker than the other forces. We can pick up objects, magnets can stop objects falling on the ground. Thus, we can counteract gravity, but we still need to spend energy doing that. Thats why we can breathe, drink water, and live safely.
You say that gravity is due to electrons, but then, why is a nuetron stars gravity so strong? It contains only nuetrons.

As given in the Books of science. There is no need to discuss this theory of Atom.
"STRUCTURE OF THE ATOM:- Atoms are composed of three type of particles:
protons, neutrons and electrons. Protons and neutrons are responsble for most of
atomic mass e.g in a 150 person 149 LBS, 15 OZ are protons and neutrons while only 1 oz are electrons. The mass of an electron is very small.
Both the protons and neutrons reside in the nucleus. Protons have a positive(+)
charge, neutrons have no charge--they are neutral. ELECTRONS reside in orbitals
around the nucleus."

I think there is no doubt about the function of the electron in an Atom.

Dear Rahuldandekar, Will you please try to understand my statement. When you
say that you can counteract gravity then you must not forget that you are living
in a state of PUSHING from heaven. You are not living in a gravity attracting
from earth. If it was possible for me to create a gravity attracting the objects
towards earth then it was possible for you to see the difference. I am sure that
you and all the population of this planet is enjoying the life due to the fact that there is space power, otherwise there is totally no chance for any one to see the wonders of this universe. If I accept that cause of gravity is mass, planets and
other sky objects then there is no need to waste the time.
About the neutron stars, it is not clear as yet that there are no electrons in some
kinds of stars. I have no knowledge about each and every thing of this universe.
IF you are clear that some atoms of the universe are free of electrons, please guide me.
I think that there is nothing so serious to shake my theory.

Tar, you have not yet told us what pushes the apple down to the earth. You've said you're part about gravity. Now tell us the other half of the story.

Dear Starlab,
I have already stated that there is space power working in the universe.
But how this all is going on, it is a long story. It will take a time to go into
a detail. I have come to know this theory the day the first rocket was sent
to orbit the earth. May be during 1964 or so. Due to the circumstances out
of my reach I could not give publicity to my thinking. The second reason was
that the roots of the present theory of gravity are so deep in the minds of
the scientists and other people that no one is prepared to accept it. I am more than assured that there will come a time when my theory will
be understood properly. Meanwhile I have come to know that some other
writer has claimed that he is to say the last word about wrong or right of the present theories. You can see the web- www.thefinaltheory.com. After I
could see the book I will be able to decide what can I do. I wonder if he
has the same thinking in this respect.

Tar - I have come up with my own theories over the past three months. I don't rely to much on math. If I have a clear picture in my mind of what my idea is, I try to avoid math as much as possible. I suggest you do the same.
By the way, what brilliant idea floated across your mind for that split second back in '64 that gave you the impression that gravity did not ever exist?
By the way, I think the author of THEFINALTHEORY is a crackhead, because all he seeks to do is prove everyone who ever had a brilliant idea was wrong. He would discredit anything that floated across his browbeaten path, for God's sake!
