John, forget it - I've already tried to get her to tell us what her credentials are in the fields of biology, exobiology and geology and/or what credible scientific theories explain her photos, but all she did was throw insults around.

"Stinky pig" was mine, which I quite liked. I thought about changing my username to it, but later reconsidered.

BTW I've been arguing the case for her being banned for about a week now!

Hi, here's someone I bet you never expected to hear from again, nor will I post here again.

But that's not to say I don't eavesdrop on this forum from time to time, to see what you

I shall be calm in this post of mine, Faulkner. My rage over your insult is boiling my insides. h34r:
I believe it started when ES posted one of his/her ideas/pictures, and then we said, "ha, ha, we don't believe those." Then, ES might've got insulted, but ES (of whom I shall refer to as 'it' from now on) took it out the wrong way. It insulted dear 'ol Dips - I can see why Dips played along with the Stinky Pig remark (soo rude!) - and started posting more! The pictures seemed normal, but ES had to say the strangest things! Even more annoying was that It opened more strings about Its one website - It should take lessons from Oliver's personalized Iron Sun String.
I believe, as some of the members do, that continually postingthe same 'crap' with no credentials or proof (see posts by John and DH) is annoying and insulting to the people who take the time to read it...
Wait! I have an idea! Why not boycott ES!
...Oh, wait, right, It might keep posting new Strings Of Crap.
...Why haven't any of the moderators (or Fraser, for that matter) disabled Its username, or even IP address? Weird h34r:, it's as if they'd rather exercise their authority over people like myself who casually attempt new username profiles instead of dealing with someone who is considered insane and insulting to the majority of the users.

This thread is getting uglier and more useless with each post. The only useful idea
I could get out of Faulkner's crude, vindictive, and apparently politically motivated post is about the notion of freedom and rights. I am perfectly happy to let ES post intellectually meaningless and amusing posts wherever she wants. I simply choose to totally ignore them after learning they are of no value to what I want to accomplish on this forum.
But, just as she has the right to post wherever she wants, so do the moderators who run the site have the right to create and enforce rules for the forum to govern behavior in accordance with its mission. Any body of literature needs some set of rules geared towards its goals or the site becomes chaotic and meaningless. If the moderators really are a gestapo, then very few people would post and the site will become quickly forgotten.
The one thing that I do not like particuarlly and where Faulkner may have somewhat of a point is when attacks are personalized either by ES or against ES. I think that enforcing the rules and inflicting punishment should be mechanical and not personalized. IE simply say "this post is not appropriate for xyz violation and I am imposing abc penalty (closing it, moving it to everything else in the universe forum) without any other commentary. I am not opposed to the notion that repeat violators of the rules can be banned from the site, either by name or isp.

He can not be a rock, as he is spiral.

I am closing this thread, and will ask Fraser to ban ExtraSense.
This last post was too rude to allow, and ES has a history of rudeness beyond the normal tolerence of this forum.

How about you try and be a man of your word for once and stop posting here.

My appologies to everyone, I was the one who decided to let this thread go on, despite Extrasense's disregard of the rules and disdain for the people who posted their disagreement with her silly conclusions.

At the time, I felt it was a better route to have members respond to her tripe to prevent any suggestion that we (the moderators) were not giving her her full due. I had also hoped that she might at least try to see things objectively.

I was wrong, Dippyhippy was right. Hosta la vista Extrasense.

For the record, and as I've stated elsewhere, no one moderator can simply ban a member or else I'd banned ES a long time ago, for the same reason I'd closed her topics: constant violation of rule #6.

The reason no one moderator can ban a member should be obvious; without that simple rule, personal feelings would have a much greater effect - members could potentially be banned without due consultation with the other moderators.

I argued the case for banning ES but the decision was not mine alone, and rightly so. ES was given more than a fair chance.
