Just read the messages on this board, and you'll see how we feel about the whole thing.

I'll try to keep the English simple.

We think it is fake because we cannot see it. We have the data that has been provided by the believers and it does not work. They say the planet is visible yet we cannot find it. We search and we do not find. We say it does not exist because it cannot exist. At least, not in the way they say it does.

I think the general feeling on this board is that yellow pigs will fly across Holland before Planet X does  Basically, don't worry about it! May will come and go smoothly in astronomical terms.

There are several reasons....

1. Nancy said it would be daylight visible at April 1st. I haven't seen it.

2. If it existed, it would break all posible laws of physics.

3. If it causes havoc every time it passes, why are there still artifacts over 3600 years old still standing?

4. It's really, really stupid.

Are you talking about that Japanese cult that has been in the news recently?

They might've been talking about Nemesis, Sol's hypothesized sister star. Apparently, every couple million years or so, Nemesis travels through the Oort Cloud, a vast region of space beyond Pluto and the Kuiper Belt that is filled with comets and such. It's supposed to perturb those comets, and send them flying towards the inner (and outer, obviously) solar system.

But don't worry, the likelihood of Nemesis existing is small, at best. If not miniscule.

Aren't those Japanese people scared because they think the Earth's tilt on its axis is screwy?

Does anyone have any additional information on this cult?

ObiWan: I hope they realise that if the Earth didn't have the 23 degree (I think that's what it is) tilt of its axis, life would not be able to exist. :P

Squall: No problem. We enjoy helping people out.

Squall: Exactly.

http://www.badastronomy.com/bad/misc/planetx/index.html

http://www.planet-x.150m.com/

Those two sites are some of the best I have found in my searches. They should be able to provide you with all the information you require.

Do cough-medicine induced halucinations count for Planet X sightings?

Wait, that's just a spot of Nyquil on the window.

I was thinking they could all dress up as gigantic, rainbow-colored lemmings and beat us to death with enormous burritos. Wait . . . that's another nyquil-induced hallucination. Sorry.
