Tell you what, "Skywatcher".. I'll give you 12 hrs for this B.S. about "Planet X" hitting Neptune to be announced on the news.

If there is any scientific proof, again, scientific proof that such an event has actually happened, I will empty out my bank account and mail the check to that psychotic nut Nancy Lieder.

When the 12 hours have passed (after all, the post did say 12 hours) and nothing appears in any credible news media, then you will stop posting here with your inane links and questions trying to prove this crap is real.

Deal? :-?

There are no links... s/he cannot spell 'Proof'... he does not say where he got his info from. I'm sorry, but getting worried over this is a little paranoid. If I said "The moon was going to crash into Earth within 24 hours" without any proof, would you believe me? Nope... and I guess I have more credibility than anyone who posts on the GodLike Productions forum too!

Listen, I have read all of your posts and the subsequent answers given to you by the posters here, and despite all of their efforts to try and "calm your fears" by showing you proof that every other thing about Planet X that has spooked you has failed to occur, you continue to hold on to these beliefs.

I, or anyone else here for that matter cannot help show you the truth about this nonsense if you fail to listen. Instead, you keep posting links from other sites and believing without question everything you read, no matter how dubious the source.

Now, I for one advocate seeking out answers to things that you do not understand, but you keep choosing to ignore the voices of reason, but hey, if you want to live your life in fear of a fairy tale, that's your buisness.

I'm done with this matter.

Personally, I'm actually more scared by the fact that the Swedish contribution has gotten 23 points this far in the Eurovision Song Contest...

Stay away from Godlike, skywatcher. That's what I do, and I'm quite happy that I'm not being scared needlessly by a bunch of theorizing idiots.

And knock it off with these "look at this what does this mean will the earth explode" threads.

Let's assume for a second that the post at godlike was trustworthy:

1) Neptune destroyed? ROFL! This planet X 'thing' was supposed to reach earth perpendicular to the ecliptic, how in blazes did it manage to get to Neptune crash into it and continue heading for earth because IT DID NOT ALTER ITS COURSE? That's high school physics or if you prefer Elementary Pool!!!

Hmmmm I know! it's an alien kid's foottball!!!!!

2) It impacted and destroyed Neptune. Neptune IS about the size they are claiming Planet X is and I am expected to believe that it didn't even alter Planet X's course?

3) The distance to Neptune is so large that light takes a couple of hours to travel from here to there. that means that if it actually existed (which it doesn't) at at typical planetary speeds (ah yes I forgot it's a MAGICAL Planet he he he) it would take several years to make it to here. if there was the evil goverment conspiracy that has been parroted since this joke of a story began and the thing (PX) would take say 5-10 years to make it here you'd think this 'evil' Templar/Masonic/Iluminati/MJ-12 (did I miss anybody? ah yes of course: Pinky and the Brain! who else?) conspiracy is going to allow a 'Worldwide Announcement?'

Right........

Like I said before, I find it very hard to have sympathy in people who spread this kind of things whether they believe it or not.

On Phil's index page it says
Quote:
Do you think a rogue brown dwarf by the name of Nibiru or Planet X will sweep past the Earth in May 2003 and kill us all, or do you think it's just another woowoo claim? Post here about it!
That means that people who believe it will happen are being encouraged to post. This is meant to be a discussion forum. Instead of bagging scared people why don't you just stay out of this section if you are over it? Otherwise, why not present your evidence against without criticising the person?

Mel

Sorry if I did not make myself clear:

I did not mean people who ask about things like this, I meant people who publish this kind of things.

Since I know I am one of the posters being refered to , I will clarify the reason behind my 2 posts.

Had I believed that the person I was adressing was sincere in the questions he continues to post, then I would never have said one word about it. I hope to god that more people that heard about Planet X and were worried about it came here to get answers based on scientific fact rather the the ramblings of fear-mongers and scam artists.

However, take a good look at every one of his threads and his subsequent replies to the answers given to him. In my opinion (and I am not the only one who feels this way), this is a person with an agenda to validate this Planet X nonsense. Sorry, I have no patience for that kind of person and would react the same if it were Nancy or one of her followers trying to pull the same stunt.

Also, I would like to note that he should not be banned from posting. Unlike IRC chat sessions that QueenVee runs like a dictatorship, I don't believe in banning people, no matter how far-fetched their theories. If the poster in question wants to continue posting links to pro-Planet X sites asking for our views and opinions and then totally ignore the answers given to him, then he'd better expect posters like myself to call him on it.

Sorry. I never claimed I was I nice person, and yes, I am very judgemental when it comes to this topic, and if I am proven wrong about him, then I will gladly apologize and never post again.

People, People, People!!!!!!!............... So mean to sky watcher!

come on this poor fritened newbee neads are help here.

Right skywatcher, this is a self help kind of thing, are you paying attention now?

your chalange, should you choose to accept it (and I suggest you do!) is to find another post in godlike or some-such which freaks you out. When you have found this new, apparent, 'evidence for the imnent destruction of the earth as we know it'. go to google or what ever and carry out a search, make note of the evidence that you collect, get a variety of different sources from scientific sites, news sites etc.. see what they all have to say on the subject.

Then write it up into a post for us all. show us the orrigional concern - with link - then explain how you have looked at the evidence for it's existance (or lack of) and then - and only then tell us what conclusions you have come to.

ok, post it as a new thread.

Title it 'Skywatch the magnificent'

we will all watch for it to come up on the board and I will ask wolf to make you a ' I am over all this px noncence' certificate which you can print of an put on your wall, next to the list of cheering posts which I am sure you will get from us all if you accept this challence and pass.
