Read this c a r e f u l l y... It's a reflection, It's a reflection, It's a reflection.
Keep on saying that and maybe you'll stop posting your never ending "What do you think of this" series. AAARGHHHH!

Looks like a speck of dirt on the lens to me. And a badly overexposed image which the poster has fooled around with and edited.

Why exactly should anyone pay any attention to another crummy image of unknown provenance in an attempt to "debunk" it?

PX does not exist. It has been shown to be physically impossible. The predictions associated with it have been uniformly wrong.

Do you really think that this is "evidence" for it? If so, why is it more so than several dozen other images, very few of which have any resemblance to each other, of all sorts of random areas of the sky?

Why would one guy in Australia be able to take a picture of it, but professional solar astronomers somehow fail to notice it?

Why should we waste one more neuron-cycle on this at all? Sorry if I sound snippy, but really - why should we?

Funny how every single PX pic they come up with is in the wrong spot (than where ZT says it should be).

I would love to see this planet's orbital path plotted out just once ... going by the "proof" these pictures provide.

I bet living on PX would be better than riding the bestest rollercoater Cedar Point has to offer.

....'skywatcher' I asked you this before, and you never answered, so I will ask again......
...Why must someone convince you that PX doesn't exist, isn't in this photo, isn't in that photo, isn't here, isn't there, what's this, what's that, how can it be a reflection, why is it a reflection, etc?......Why do you believe what Nancy (and her 'Zetas') and the unknown posters at 'Godlike' say?.....

Skywatcher, I took this piciture of the moon myself with a real crappy camera, just to see how many effects I could get.

The glare wasn't anywhere near as intense as the sun, yet, it was still enough to create a reflection. Always be suspicious of objects to the lower right of a bright object, that's where many of these reflections keep showing up.

Yes "godlike". That bastion of scientific integrity. Half of the posters are
mentally unstable and the rest are trolls/pranksters.
Perhaps not the best source for information...........

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!.....'s ok...I'm all right now...

Skywatcher, you really need to change your screen name. You don't deserve the one you have.

Anyone who goes outside and tries to see the 'object' in the photo in question with the naked eye won't see squat. The 'object' is almost ON the solar disk, and that's so bright that glare would wash it out and a person's eyes would not be able to tolerate the brightness. If they forced themselves (holding their eyelids open etc) they risk ocular damage, and would walk around seeing blue spots dancing around. If they tried using magnification without proper protection, they risk immediate and permanent damage up to and including blindness.

Why does this object only show up when the photo is filtered/digitally massaged/etc?

Why did people only begin to say they saw it naked-eye AFTER the photo was published?

Why do you put any credence at all in this hokum?

The wide majority of this cr*p is easily explained/debunked with a minimal amount of thought and examination. Why is it you come to us and seemingly dare us to comment on the latest foolishness, instead of doing a little critical thinking on your own? Asking for assistance on a point now and then is one thing...the almost daring us to come up with a rational explanation is another.

Learn to think on your own, dude...otherwise, I'm gonna sue to collect on the bill for the Brooklyn Bridge I sold you last week. What? You didn't buy a bridge from me? Hey, I've got the signed bill of sale. Your word against mine. Prove you didn't do it.

See how easy it is?

skywatcher,

Go back to the sightings page on Zetatalk and read the comment of Rolf from Austrailia....He even has his doubts as to it being real....or better yet If many in OZ can see it....Contact Mel or Others that post from down under, and listen to what they have to say.

I beleive it was claimed to have be seen in Melbourne,......Big place ,lots of ppl...or go to one of the daily newspapers and see what is being reported.

We could start a thread on the possible uses of the posts at Godlike (with some notable exceptions of course) but I suspect the BA would NOT be pleased....

This board would be bumped from "G" to "R" in a nanosecond.

I need help too.
Every "star" I look at with my scope has roundoid companions! Which leads me to this obvious question; Is my scope out of alignment? (I was going to say collimation but I forgot how to spell it). Really. I can't get a relatively sharp image of any star. They're all ....blobby.
Oh wait....am I on the wrong website for this question?
Signed,
Just Wondering in Lightpollutionville.

I'm able to get a sharp image at first but then it gets twisted? Must be my scope, or gravity distortions from px

Oh, thank goodness! It's the PX effect. At first I thought I had a problem with my telescope!
Thanks Wolf!
