This is really not Planet X-related, unless you think the eclipse somehow has something to do with everyone's favourite nonexistant brown dwarf/planet/red dwarf/comet/solar flare/spaceship.

You really need to calm down, if you're actually frightened, or take this to another forum, if you're just bored/trying to scare others.

Well, then, if it is during the eclipse, skywatcher, you can relax, because 90% of us will be dead within an hour.

Gonna go have my last four-mile run, now. Don't wanna die chubby.

PS - Just in case we have some Zetaclones here, the above was sarcasm.

Well, the LASCO pics aren't pics at all, from what I understand. They're comparisons between frames. The pics are here:

http://sohowww.nascom.nasa.gov/data/...altime-c3.html

And I don't see anything of interest in the timeframe given.

Skywatcher, what are your exact fears about Planet X?

You seem to have jumped on all kinds of unrelated bits of paranoia; I assume there is some kind of narrative behind these individual worries?

Maybe we can help.

If you're just messing with us, though, please stop.

the all the nice people here helped me see it was not true, but now with the pics from australia and the lasco images that no one can explain i am starting to feel it is real again.

Yes, I see the SOHO comparison pics. But here's the actual image at the same time, not a comparison:

Do you see anything that resembles a planet? I don't.

Note also the comment on the difference images page about the quality of the images:

Quote:
Also, note that the quality of these images will be inferior to those provided by the SOHO LASCO team. The reason for this is the lower quality of the data used to produce these images. These images are taken from a raw data stream and are not calibrated or preprocessed to remove cosmic ray noise or other artifacts prior to subtracting the images. As a result, the images may not be as elegant as the final images provided by the LASCO science team, but they are definitely updated more frequently.

Don't expect perfect images from this service. There will be numerous flaws in the images.

Well, whatever the two images are, they don't corroborate each other as they are not in the same place.

And neither one is Planet X.

I think you need to look at the weight of the evidence and also look to see if the evidence put forth in favor of Planet X ties together.

If there is a PX, it should be bloody obvious by now. It should show up in all the SOHO images, not just a couple of LASCO C3 difference images. It should show up in every photo of the Sun, not just in one from Australia and one from a mountain in California.

And the images don't correlate: the Mount Wilson "Planet X" is far away from the Sun, while the ones you're proposing now are right next to it. Then you've got Nancy's images which jump all over the place: left of the Sun, right of the Sun, above the Sun, below the Sun, what have you. Give me at least three or four independent, consistent, reliable sources for Planet X, and I'll consider it. But what's been shown so far doesn't even come close.

So um what's the question here? The bright star in the pic above is Alderbaran. The Sunrise pics further up have distortions and flares. Someone summarize the question plz :-?

I think you should stop going to Godlike and places like that that spout all this crap.

Otherwise you will end up in hospital with a stomach ulcer in great pain... believe me honey, I know.

Godlike: Not for the gullible.

Look mate, we've seen the animation. The blob is part of a CME. See the image below?

Now, I'm no expert, but it is immediately obvious that the "object" 3 o'clock from the sun is not actually an object at all. It is a Coronal Mass Ejection, nothing more.

The camera flare photoed the other day is in entirely a different place so posting the pictures together entirely debunks it anyhow. And to top it all off, they post a picture of the annular eclipse with a cloud in front of the portion of the sun.

The people at Godlike are playing with your mind. They enjoy pretending to be scientists and detectives. They are no such thing and should not be considered so either. THEY ARE NOT A VALID SOURCE OF INFORMATION! You bring this fear on yourself so if you can't handle it, don't go there. You are worrying needlessly.

Jeez! Will you STOP with the godlike crap????

The only one I know I can trust on that board is this guy who calls himself Fluffis the Evil Hamster, and that's because he is me...

if you check any other kind of thread on godlike you'll get a feel for what kind of morons that are there. Very few even make some kind of sense.

I don't see how you can actually believe that the Godlike Production boards are a rational source of information, when one of their core beliefs is that George W. Bush and all the other leaders on the planet are actually Reptiles (no, not just reptiles, Reptiles) from another world.
