Default My Apologies

I just wanted to take this time to say I am sorry to everyone who thinks of me as a troll,, I am not a troll, I have no clue to how astronomy works and keep reading differwent things and seeing different pictures that raise fear into me.

For example has anyone read the posts on Godlike latley, it seems everypost has something different to do with PX, different sightings, claims witnesses what am I supposed to believe, how are we to know the pics are fake or not,

So again I give my apologys.

Okay quick course in spotting a fake PX picture:

1. It is posted as a picture of Planet X.
2. See 1.
3. See 2.

Yes, I am there, from time to time, and no, I don't think they look possible... It looks almost the same way it has looked for a long time.

The only thing that differs is that people seem to be getting desperate, because there is nothing there, and they have spent so much time trying to convince people that there is something...

Okay... this is the last thing I'll ever post in response to something you write. Either you are a troll, insane or just totally impossible to educate:

THERE IS NO PLANET X!
If you have absolutely NO knowledge about the crap they post on godlike, then I guess you could think that their theories hold water. I'd just as soon pass water on godlike.

That is all there is to it.

OK....so I have not been here for a few days, but I have something I'd like to say to skywatcher. Even if those opinions and pictures are real.....There would be absolutely nothing that we could do about it (not being mean) So we mine as well have fun with it.......think about it, all these dates Nancy and her cronies gave (anyone correct me if I'm wrong)
May 13th, May 28th, and June 1st. We are still very much alive and kicking. I see no major things happening. So what you are seeing is just nonsense by some people who want to keep this thing going for as long as possible to try and see who will still run with it. So in closing skywatcher, whatever you see just laugh it off.

And if by some slim chance that Nancy or anyone associated with her is seeing this.......You are some very sick people who need psychological evaluation and maybe a nice long vacation...........SO GROW UP AND GET A HOBBY!!!!

skywatcher,

Why do you insist on believing every bit of hooey posted on Godlike, yet ignore everything we tell you? If your astronomy knowledge is so scanty that you cannot tell hooey when you see it, please do yourself (and us) a favor and STAY OFF GODLIKE! If you insist on going there, assume that everything you read there is hooey until proven otherwise.

PS Learn to use Google to search for the answers.

There are so many people all over this planet looking at the sky for different reasons that I am sure that SOMEONE should have seen the damn thing by now.

Hell, Nancy reckons it should be competing with the mid-day sun about now... If ANYTHING were competeing with the Mid-day sun, we would see the damn thing!!!!

HELLO!!!! AM I GETTING THROUGH TO YOU????

I don't understand how you cannot comprehend the fact that this planet is not there. The simple fact is if it were we would know. NASA would know. Almost every Amatuer Astronomer would know. I don't believe that NASA could even concieve of trying to cover up a planet the size at least of 4 venus's or at its biggest, quoted to be twice the size of Jupiter. Surely the fact that these people didnt at one point even know the size of this thing, should be a clue?

Planets are not fricking invisible. The fact that the thing that is supposed to be PX in all these pictures MOVES from picture to picture. One day it is to the left of the sun in a picture, then the next it is above the sun. One day is if further to the right! A PLANET SURELY CANNOT DO THIS???!!! Jump around that much in such a short space of time? PLEASE!!!

I think it is becoming increasingly obvious why Nancy chose to have it orbit so close to the sun... Because this would produce the best results to further her lies due to light reflecting from the lense and lense flare. I myself took 50 pictures of the sun throughout the day on 15th May to see if I could produce a convinceing PX picture. At least one in every 10 produced results. And that was with a FINEPIX Digi cam. This proved to me that it is simply to easy to fake. What with this and the previous eclipses both luner and solar, what better ways to try and convince people.

I have been through the fear and come out on the other side. Skywatcher, I used to be the most paranoid and fearful person on this planet. Afraid of things I didnt understand. Knowledge is power my friend, but first you have to be accepting of that knowledge. Only then you can accept the power.

My life has been changed forever through this experience. I cannot stress enough how this event nearly killed me in more ways than one. Even my religion, a religion based on the workings of this planet and of nature has taken a back seat to this. I lost my faith. I stopped listening to the Earth, the Sun, the Stars and the Moon. I suffered for it.

However... after difficulties coming to terms with myself and my fears, I accepted the knowledge that these kind people on this board have given me, I have extended this to finding out more by reading books and magazines, searching things out on the net. Talking to people. I have accepted the power.

I ask you to do the same.

An old fashioned BASIC algorithm definitive of Skywatcher's a.k.a. Sam's a.k.a. BmpBmp's M.O. :

10 FOR I = 1 to INT(11*RND+5)
15 REM Execute lines 20,30 5 to 15 times (Incl.)

20 POST "OMG! What's this?"
30 FEED on the attention garnered of responses while utterly ignoring import of same.
40 NEXT I
50 POST "I'm not a troll! - I'm, just a frightened 'lill babe in the woods! Please don't be angry with me! WAH! WAH! WAH!"

Default Message to Skywatcher

I visited the website you refered to and couldn't help but notice that one source of the "shocking new photos of Nibiru" was a person I've long associated with keeping internet hoaxes alive, long after they should have died a quiet death, by continually introducing "shocking new evidence". I know this from being dragged rather nastily through the fallout of one of these hoaxes for about a month when the hoax would have died in hours if not for the work of him and the hoaxter. I see some people don't change.

The whole point of science is that the rules are the same for everyone. If someone claims to have photgraphed Nibiru next to the sun, everyone should be able to go outside on a clear day and see Nibiru next to the sun. If it was there it would be very obvious at this point. I've looked, it's not there! At that point there can be all the images of Nibiru in the world posted to the internet and they mean nothing more than someone is trying to hoax you!

BTW, you might post to that website and ask about Terry Tim Rodgers. I'm kind of curious what they would say.

Let's do one last exercise in understanding the PX phenomenon.
First off you have to admit that the world didn't end by May 15th (the 'early date') nor has it ended by June 1 (the last date). You have to admit that their information is wrong and therefore they are not a reliable source. So now when they come out with more later and later dates, you should be highly suspicious.
When I first heard about PX from a friend of mine who said he sees 'something' in the sky in the location that ZetaTalk says PX should be located at, I was quite willing to go look at that part of the sky and look for this object. It's no longer reusable to accept the arguments for PX that you find on Godlike and other pro-PX forums. It's should be very obvious to you that there are people out there actively promoting the existence of PX and trying to fool you.

Second, most pictures you post are obvious lens flares or bad fakes. So by now you should have an understanding of what a lens flare is and even have an idea about most fakes. You should never post another highly overexposed, over developed or fuzzy picture. You should know better by now.
Third, the big conspiracy. If PX or anything like it were visible in the sky for a few people on Godlike, dont you think that quite a few of the thousands of professional astronomers and tens or hundreds of thousands of armature astronomers around the world would also see it and promote it in the news. If there were evidence of anything unusual in the sky I'd take a picture of it myself and post it on the web. But there's nothing there. So even if something real suddenly appeared in the solar system tomorrow, the professionals would find it soon and the armatures would find not long afterwards. And if that something were headed anywhere near earth it would be in the news. Again that hasn't happened because - there's nothing there.

Conclusion. I like to give people the benefit of doubt. But at best you are ignoring these lessons. The next time you think about starting a new topic, how about running your question through this exercise and see how they stand against these three ideas. Is it 1) from a reliable source? 2) is it a clear, properly exposed and properly developed picture? 3) is it something cataclysmic yet it might have escaped the astronomical community and the not made the news? If you can answer yes to these three questions, no one here will think your topics are trolling.
And one last thing. When referencing a picture or comments made from someone, please be specific as to what part of the picture or what ideas in the comments that you are interested in. No more 'what's this' or 'what do you think about this'. Be specific and ask what you think about the gray splotch in the lower left corner or what do you think about Joe's calculations on speed..... Otherwise it may look like your just posting for the sake of posting.

I like to give people the benifit of doubt. But we're all loosing doubts about you being a troll. Following these guildlines for posting might help you.

Eh, what Wolf said, Skywatcher. We've all been through this Planet X stuff for months now--some of us have been dealing with it since 1995--and basically, we're tired of it. It didn't happen, see? Not on any of Nancy's projected dates. Nothing happened at all.

So now, for us, the whole Planet X thing is going into the the junk drawer, along with the UFO scares from the 1950s and the "Skylab is falling!" thing from the 1970s and all the Y2K memorabilia. It's junk history, dude. Give it a rest.

Now, of course, for the true Lunatic Fringe, for all those folks still hanging out at Godlike and Zetatalk, it will never be over. The South Will Rise Again, Elvis Will Never Die, and all that. But for the rest of us in the real world, it's over.

And if you want us to believe that YOU'RE inhabiting the real world, then you're just gonna have to drop the "oh, yeah, well, what about THIS picture, what about THIS factoid on Godlike?" threads, 'kay?

Because, frankly, Scarlett, we don't give a damn.

I had some residual doubt about skywatcher's troll status, but claiming that he's found that the garbage on Godlike "hold[s] water," erased the last shadows in my mind.

The following web page sums it up very nicely, I think, and more succinctly than the trollfaq.

Perhaps this is a rosetta stone to Hubbish?
Fortunately, I had trouble with autoexe.bat in my younger days so I can make this out.
Now I just have to find the DOS equivilent to Hubbish and I'll be able to translate.
