You know what... I look at the Sun everyday and I have not seen a big black thing infront, above, below, or to the sides of the Sun.

Sorry... Still no PX coming

Yes, it's called a cheap digital camera, the sun, and Kent Steadman hoaxing you with supposition and ignorance. Why do people constantly post pictures when they can look for themselves? Buy yourself some Baader solar film, slap it on your binoculars per the instructions, and look for yourself.

Not only will you disprove "Planet X" being near the sun to yourself, you'll have a decent set of solar filers for your binoculars to look at sunspots any time you wish in the future - and probably have enough left over to make a cell for a couple 80-100mm refractors and finderscopes.

coolguy, do yourself a favor:

Visit this page and using one of the methods recomended there go and take a look at the sun.

That picture is just a fake, you can't photograph the sun the way they did it in that picture and get any useful info out of it.

The only Planet X that exists is the one on Looney Tunes (as in Duck Rogers in the 24th 1/2 Century) the one claimed to exist by the 'Zetans' is NONSENSE

This picture was posted on a forum last year:

Look at the sun in the background. Happens on video cameras too.

Coolguy, I'm guessing Sigma Orionis just misspoke himself, meaning to address Skywatcher.

Skywatcher, your "I think I'll post some obviously fake PX photos and ask the BABB people what they think" shtick is getting old.

I cannot believe how everyone gets baited by Skywatcher. She's laughing at everyone taking her bait--whether it's to denounce the photographs or to ridicule her (and I expect she even gets a kick out of people calling her bluff). It's lonely out there for her, and this way she has the limelight--albeit virtual).

Best explanation I've heard is overloaded pixels blacking out. Again, the true believers don't have any "control" samples to show, plus they ignore all the counter-examples.

Just have this sense.

BTW, and sorry to go off subject, but I lived in Bristol way back in the early eighties for four years--in Redland and then Clifton. Best years of my life. Live in California now. Miss Bristol a great deal, though. Is the Fleece and Firkin' still there?

That or it's simply a fake, as the still pic. I havn't done any fake movies before but I doubt it's much if any harder than still pics.

The AVI is fake right? I never saw actual footage of a fake PX encounter, just fake photographs. Could someone please elaborate? Thank you.

the avi is most definitely a fake. one can see the composition artifacts around the black object. its most noticeable because the artifacts form a square area around the "object".

I don't think it has been faked. I have seen this problem with cameras before. Here's a decent explanation I have just found, mainly relating to Webcams but applicable throughout:

http://www.webzar.com/webcam/index.shtml

Here's a little piece of the article:

Quote:
Our webcam is sometimes overwhelmed by a bright sun low in the sky (if you know how to mitigate that, or if you know of a camera that can handle a bright sunset, let us know).

At first, the displayed image will show the sun with a black spot in its middle. Next, the sun will be get lost within a dark background.
And here is some proof: http://www.webzar.com/webcam/black_spot.jpg

This is not abnormal people! It is just a problem with the cameras.

I believe that cameras using a cheap CMOS sensor can go black when they get overloaded by a light source.

If you are so worried, why won't you make an effort to find out for yourself? Get a heavy filter of some sort, like a pair of welder's goggles, and look for yourself.

it is easily possible to edit a movie file frame-by-frame (just like editing a picture), it just takes a lot of time thats all.. but in saying that the people awaiting px doomsday have plenty of time.
