In an earlier post I put forward my hypothesis that gravitational potential energy is slowly being recycled to photons at the rate:
dE/dt = -UH,
where
E is the photon energy generated,
U is the gravitational potential energy and
H is Hubble's constant. I identify the magnitude of the gravitational potential energy with the graviton energy associated with the specific gravitational interaction. In a recent paper I suggested that it is this production of energy which allowed the Earth to expand from its initial size of about 60 per cent its present radius to the present size. That paper is available online here:

Going to the cosmic level now, I recently pointed out that this same process of photon generation could give rise to gravitation. The greatest amount of gravitational potential energy associated with a body resides in its interactions with the most distant matter in the visible universe. When this energy is recycled to photons, a cosmic background of radio photons is generated. These radio photons upon interacting with other bodies are then reabsorbed and converted back to gravitons. The shadows in the photon background then give rise to a Le Sage-type ("pushing gravity") mechanism. The new paper is available here:

In one of the last sections, I comment on the repulsive effects of the radiation production in objects such as black holes.
I would welcome feedback from the BAUT members.
