I think that nancy's been busy hoaxing crop circles in wisconsin. Have you guys seen how crappy they look? The lines aren't straight
Look at these: http://www.zetatalk.com/index/zeta20.htm vs. The Wisconsin circles: http://www.zetatalk.com/index/cropcir8.htm I'd bet $5 that she or some of her crappy followers have something to do with it. :P |

this bit (here http://www.zetatalk.com/index/cropcir2.htm) is particularly good:
Last night I did a meditation on the Aug 2, 2003 Eastfield crop circle which I felt certain was very important to Planet X. A key points of what I intuited is the uncharacteristic squareness of the overall design as being a reference to the solstices/equinoxes as these represent 4 corners of time as the Earth circles the sun. The solstice this summer was June 21 (the day of the Waden Hill circle). Harmony excuse me? intuited? Never heard that word before, but from the context I think it means something like "pulled out of my a**" (try doing a direct substitution in the sentence and reading it to yourself. I think it works). New scientific technique: if you don't have any data, make it up from nowhere and claim that you "intuited" it after "doing a meditation". Eeuuurrggghhhh #-o Krill |

Intuited is a legit word. Don't have a disctionary handy to be precise, but it relates to intuitively making sense out a group of elements or facts. Of course, as used in ZetaBable, it is indeed the anal extraction method as noted by HugeKrill.

oh yes, you're right - there is indeed such a word (I dug out my copy of the OED). I was being a little obtuse here; it's reasonably obvious what was meant - it's just that I don't buy it. The "intuited" result comes out of nowhere with no supporting data.
Given the context, I'll stick with my interpretation Krill |

Based on previous context indications, perhaps it's a misspelling and shoot be 'intooted'? 8-[ :P

My dictionary:
Intuit: vb to apprehend by intuition Apprehend????????? as opposed to comprehend perhaps. Intuition: n the power or faculty of knowing things without conscious reasoning Seems appropriate to me. ![]()

Ok so help the poor newbie here. I didn't see these procedures in my copy of "Astronomy for Dummies". I didn't even see this in any of Douglas Adams books!

OK!
1) Comets and brown dwarfs have almost nothing in common. A comets is a small chunk of dirty ice (from less than a Km to a few dozen Km across) that sublimates when it nears the Sun, thus growing a large but tenuous coma and a long and even thinner tail. A brown dwarf is from 10 to 100 times as massive as Jupiter, but no larger in diameter. A brown dwarf is too massive to be called a planet, but not massive enough to ignite fusion in its core and become a star. 2) a pulsar is a rapidly rotating neutron star. Neutron stars are formed in the explosion of giant or supergiant stars. 3) Since comets and brown dwarfs are not giant stars, there is no way they could become pulsars 4) I haven't a clue as to what they mean by "emitting 'waves'". As I said, there is a lot of bad astronomy crammed into that one sentence.
