Default Natural Source of Positrons?

I read that the National Laser Project had pulsed a 10mm layer of gold with so much coherent energy that the Au Electrons wiggled close enough to the nucleus that they emitted positrons!!..in fact more than any other man made experiment to date. As well I recall that recently the NASA mars team and others were investigating "natural" coherent "laser" emissions on mars. Now I am certain that the martian magnetosphere (not including the solar wind) is too weak to seperate a natural beam as I described above into beams of electrons and positrons BUT>>...Somewere, not to suggest the bemuda triangle or anything, but perhaps jupiter, saturn, the oort cloud, the edge of a galaxy, the center of a galaxy, or maybe a magnatar COULD POSSIBLY duplicate the effect. At least that is the theory I have been walking around with for a couple of days.....ANY IDEAS ON PROBABILITY?...what clues might we look for in the cosmos? (yes gamma ray bursts are on the table now), should we rule emancipated positrons in or out of the dark matter equation? How many other natural methods of positron emancipation are there? How many man made methods are there?....are we looking at the real fuel for a warp drive? and if so could "we" (mankind) duplicate this on a moon station at a higher intensity?....I posted this thread here since I am posisting this theory as a question with little fact to back it up, please comment away.

if it does provide enough power for a warp drive, then all we need to find is some dilithium crystals and we are off exploring space..

Discussed in BAUT Forum topic Lots of anti-matter created by Laser.

Like this?
Mumma MJ, Buhl D, Chin G, Deming D, Espenak F, Kostiuk T (1981) Discovery of natural gain amplification in the 10-micrometer carbon dioxide laser bands on Mars - A natural laser. Science 212:45-49 (Abstract)

Is this just material for the Questions and Answers section? Do you have an ATM theory to advance and promote? Are you walking around with a theory, complete with data and reasoning, or curious speculation?

Next time, I'd suggest Q&A.

ok. I am not sure why we would need the li2, and I am sure it will be hard to find, but once on the moon, I would have no problems with an away team heading out to look for some, as you wish. ....thanks nova derrick

Thank you waynefrances, Positrons are in fact a product of hydrogen fusion. And this is notable becuase evidence of a positronic signature does not neccesarily imply that a natural laser provided the energy to create the positrons. In fact there are many methods of producing positrons and hopefully they will be enumerated. If you or any one else can think of anymore, now would be a great time to note them.

FYI, a number of radioisotopes decay by positron emission; in fact, that is the basis for the PET scan, a medical imaging technique.
