Default Px predicted years ago in greatest cartoon show ever

In the sixth show of the first season, during "Jet Fuel Formula" episode 12 , a book can clearly be seen in a bookcase titled "Sex on Planet X". Rocket J. Squirrel and Bullwinkle the Moose are there first as usual.

Man, this Google stuff is creepy! All the ads with this thread are for that "greatest cartoon show ever!"

EDIT: Oops, not any more. Maybe if I help:

I thought Planet X's first appearence was in Looney Tunes.

You know, the source of Illudium Phosdex, the shaving-cream molecule.

Now that's the greatest cartoon show ever.

I actually use a clip of the Daffy Duck cartoon in my Planet X talk. It's legal under the Fair Use Act, since I am using it for education.

Duck Dodgers is from 1953 which makes it more than a few years earlier than Rocky and Bullwinkle.

However (thank you google), there is "The Man from Planet X" which predates even Duck Dodgers. This little gem of a movie is from 1951.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0043778/

The plot? A scientist sets up an observatory in Scotland to study a planet heading for a near miss with earth. The planet? Yes....drumroll please....

....is planet X!

Dare I say Nancy has watched this movie more than once?

[Nitpick]Illudium Phosdex is an atom, not a molecule.[/nitpick]

Aw man, you've all pre-dated my Thundarr the Barbarian theory:

I bet Thundarr got the date wrong by 10 years and it's Planet X instead of a runaway comet that caused the diaster. Planet X is going to be a lot cooler than I thought. Maybe if I freeze myself for two thousand years I can fulfil my childhood dream of meeting Ariel.

Well, I guess that proves every thing Nancy says is true.

Hi B.A. - is it really legal to use copyrighted images for educational purposes? I, umm, "borrowed" some pictures off the internet (of galxies, nebulae, etc) to use in my astronomy talks and I have been feeling very guilty. I never charge for the talk.
I am less concerned if they come from tax-payer based organizations, like NASA, JPL, SEDS & observatories; but I wonder about using something by David Malin or Don Parker?
A friend asked Akiro & Malin if he could use their images for a talk he did to a grade 2 class - they said yes, but destroy them afterwards!

To solve my moral dilemma, I have been asking the astro-imagers in our Club if I can use their images instead. One member has produced images of Mars that would make Don Parker drool ....................

Too bad they can't you give any of their PX images. But then the government would have to kill them.
