Default Pancake Planet, without syrup

If a planet is flattish, then shouldn't the pressure on the sides be lesser than the ones on the poles?

Define 'pressure', Frank. Atmospheric or otherwise? And lighten up on the smileys, willya?

I think I know what FFS means. Why is an oblate planet, say Saturn, oblate? (S)he may be thinking that the polar/equatorial diameter difference is due to something 'pushing in' on the poles, not just the consequences of internal angular momentum.

If the planet it wider than it is tall, then since the sides are farther away then the poles, shouldn't someone on the equator weigh less than someone on the poles?

Depends on the density of the material. You have to remeber that you have more material at the equator too. So more stuff pulling down on you. You might weigh more or less, or even the same. Who knows.

This person does.

Correct, but this effect is smaller than centripetal acceleration as can be seen in the above link. It turns out that the acceleration at the poles is 9.83 m/s^2 and 9.78 m/s^2 at the equator.
