Once again, George proves himself a boob on the C2C freak show. A caller tells him that he once took pictures of a perpetual motion machine invented by Bruce DePalma (brother of Brian, the Hollywood director). Of course Bruce is now dead, and George was quick to raise the alarm over that, and launched into a speech of how the "big oil companies" have a way of doing away with the competition that would come from such a machine.

Apparently George is conveniently discarding or is unfamiliar with the second law of thermodynamics.

Then, about 5 minutes later, some genius called in to talk about Byrd's hollow earth book. George then started talking about how he is convinced that the earth is hollow, and that it is inhabited by giants and that they are the source of some UFOs (didja know that they all go to the north pole, the entrance to the inner world?).

Geology and Geography are NOT George's strong points. BTW, isn't the north pole under water/ice?

Let's start a list of things that George is just wacko on. I've started it with two items. Anybody have more?

Under water, which is itself under ice, yes. If there is something living in the inside of the planet, maybe its like Jar-Jar's lot, and you need a sub to reach it? :D

Pretty good, fairly neutral summary of how the 'Hollow Earth' idea got started concludes (http://www.madladdesigns.co.uk/unexplained/earth/hollowearth.htm):
"...The theory of a hollow Earth certainly offers archaic charm; but, as several scientists have suggested, if it were so, then the Arctic Ocean would surely drain to the centre."
