Not to get this off topic, but that's the "problem": she is studying computer graphics as well as printing (hence color management: calibrating all elements in things like a scanner/screen/printer cylce) and the answer about primary colors (and other color issues) is often "it depends whether you are talking about light or pigments". So green certainly is a primary color, as long as you're talking about light. And of course we're talking light here on an astronomy board! :)

There was nothing wrong with giving ATP those three points. (At this rate, I'll beat him without them!:P) However, I for one dislike the shotgun method of guessing. I guessed "Native American groups" at first because it seemed the most likely of a few different possibilities. It did not even occur to me that I could guess all the possibilities at once, and had I thought of it, it would have seemed an illegitimate tactic to me, and it still does. Taken to an extreme, it could really wreck the game: I could post all the names from the lists ATP linked to as guesses for each of the remaining clues, for example. That would clearly be cheating, yet it's not against the rules. On the other hand, there's nothing wrong with changing your mind on the basis of new information; I did it myself in this round!

That's actually pretty much what happened anyway--I just left my mental processes in the post. Things didn't fall into place until I hit upon "horses" and Pegasus lept out at me.

I was totally running the wrong way with that one before you gave the hint. For me, the most salient thing about the phrase "elementary, my dear Watson" is that Sherlock Holmes never actually said it. So I was looking for a horse named Apocrypha or the like.

You said before that two of the last three were in one of ATP's lists. Does that mean that the third isn't in any of them? If so, I'm going to have to give up. I don't think I know any famous horses that aren't in those lists.
