I still think Energizer ought to use these rovers as an advertising point (the bunny is getting a bit old). I'm beginning to think we may celebrate a full Martian year with these things.
But how does the longevity effect the plans for the next rover--the one that runs on nuclear power and was supposed to last at least one Martian year--if even these smaller solar powered rovers can last that long?

During the year he is designed to last, he'll have more power at hand than the current rovers.

PS, if you were planning at a serious discussion of this topic, maybe it would fit better in Martian Chronicles? Some people interested in Mars don't visit BABBling. JFYI
