Hello aliens, this is Earth calling (http://www.newscientist.com/article.ns?id=dn7128)
A group of engineers has offered a solution for people who want a direct line to aliens - by broadcasting their phone calls directly into space.
People wanting to contact extraterrestrial beings through www.TalkToAliens.com can dial a premium rate US number and have their call routed through a transmitter and sent into space through a 3.2-metre-wide dish in central Connecticut, US.

$3.99 a minute (it's a 1-900 number).
I wonder how long before Klaatu stops by and tells us that the universe is on a "do not call" list.

Any long distance call that goes by satellite should give you the same effect, broadcasting your voice to the universe - though satellite communication coding and modulation may be a bit more tricky than what these guys send out.

Because you have scruples.
Rats! I knew those scruples would get in the way of making lots of money. Maybe I can just leave them at home sometimes?
