My biggest blunder yet. (http://www.badastronomy.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?p=460151&#460151) I would have deleted that part of the post but I saw Fram had already responded to it by the time I got my senses back.

The lesson: BBC and BABB don't mix!

Did anyone else seem to think that BA was surprised he had to warn me? I don't know why because he's done it lots of times, albeit not so harshly.

Of course, there's nothing like the threat of banning to motivate one to improve his behaviour. I don't think you'll be seeing any posts like that any time soon.

Perhaps it would be best to vent in a less dangerous way. PM me next time you get riled. I'll listen, and it won't get you in trouble.

Good idea. I used to do that with dgruss about AAGW... sometimes. The times I didn't, I got a thorough beating from other posters.

Glom. I always enjoy your posts, as I think my thoughts on issues align pretty darn close to yours!

Glad you're still with us!

It's incredible how mild and 'cute' the aledged 'rantings' are on this forum....! you should visit the IIDB for five minutes and if you survive, come back and report what you've seen. Glom didnt say anything too harsh!

It's like that SciFiChick misbanning episode. I saw very little in the way of offense. And that's why I like this board, the level is far higher here.

Ditto!

I wish I had a way with words like Glom, Maksutov, ATP, the BA, JayUtah (he scares me), and the now BANNED Grendl. There are more, but these are the folks that stick out in my head right now. 8)

It is hard to always refrain from letting it out. Sometimes you just want to tell someone off, be they a single sole or a nebulous group. I hate to think I may be banned some day for a moment of sarcastic emotional outburst.

I was admonished for using the word troll which I didn't realize had the connotation it apparently had. But the post was my response to a pushed button.

And I used to pride myself for remaining reasonable in spite of everything. Now I can only say I mostly remain reasonable (despite what some people have misconstrued my posts to say).
