Haha, I'd heard that before. It seems too funny to be true, but the guy's reactions seem so real! Otherwise, he's a fantastic actor.

Well, snopes.com is undecided....

A inquiry posed to the corporate offices of Jack in the Box restaurants produced the following response:

Thank you for your inquiry. The message that has been in circulation is an actual voice mail message. The incident occurred 5-6 years ago in Texas. I'm not sure how the recording got outside the company or if the employee still works for Jack in the Box, but the recording periodically re-surfaces on the radio and the internet.

Even if this explanation is accurate (i.e., the clip originated as a message left on a Jack in the Box employee's voicemail), it doesn't preclude the possibility that the accident described never took place, and the recording was just a prank one employee pulled on a co-worker.

Though the premise sounds inplausible, the tape itself certaintly sounds real. The world may never know.

A co-worker told me this story last week or so. It was funny then when he was just repeating what he had heard. This is so awesome that you found the link.

George played this at the end of C2C last night. Now millions more people have heard it.

I didn't hear anything about jack in the box. What does jack in the box have to do with this?

The local news/talk station here played it a few weeks ago (actually twice cause so many people wanted to here it again). Regardless of authenticity, it is a riot to listen too. :D

Well, this link is making the rounds. I sent out about 20 emails and I've heard back from about 30 people. So far all the phone callers are laughing and the emailers are indicating they are laughing.

I thought it was pretty funny. :D
