I have the 9x50 finderscope that came with my Celestron 11", and while it does a fine job, the black crosshairs are slightly hard to see against a black sky.
Any recommendations on a replacement with a led, etc? Celestron has one for about $35, but I don't know anything about it besides them saying it is 1x.
(In case the sarcasm is lost on anyone, slightly means really)

Move to where there is lots of light polution. I don't have any problem seeing my crosshairs. :-?
Yeah, that was in no way helpful. I'm just complaining, sorry.

The only time I have trouble seeing the (black) crosshairs in my finderscope is when I have it pointed straight up (or near so).
That, of course, is only because of the ackward position I have to get into in order to look through it.

If you get a Right Angle, Correct Image finder you can avoid thes kinds of problems. An illuminated crosshair is nice, but it really needs to be dim, else your night vision goes to h***.
My preference is for a Telrad to get me close, then a RACI finder, mounted next to the eyepiece. I don't have it set up to use both eyes simultaneusly, but that would be an interesting experience!
