Well, not the car, but there's two companies who import the Aussie Falcons which served as the basis of the car in the movie. They also sell the parts you need to make it look just like the car in the film.

As much as I despise Ford's, if I ever get the money up, I may have to seriously consider getting one.

Mad Max is one of my favorite movies.
And my favorite movie starring Mel Gibson.
:D
I thought the car was awsome, but I think I'd rather get a DeLorean first...

Ditto, ditto. For some reason "Mad Max" is the movie I've seen the most times of any movie, because it came out in 1980 on the Movie Channel and then was shown on TV so many times. But I like "The Road Warrior" better, and think it's one of the best action films ever made, especially pre-CGI. I own both. :P

That looks like a Ford Falcon XB or XC (http://tinyurl.com/7h6pd) Never really liked those big hulking things - a real early 1970s style unit. They always seemed to sag on their suspension - something to do with Ford changing the wheelbase halfway through the design - or maybe I'm just making that up. My brother has one of the John Goss Special's (http://tinyurl.com/dyzpb). Hard to find in good condition these days. The engines last forever but the flat rear glass incorporated a design flaw which ensures massive rust in the rear section.

Yeah, they were the "new" models after the XW-XY range.
The two-doors suffered from the doors being too long and drooping after a time, and water always leaked in the rear window.
But they were cool for their time.
