An enormous, hazy cloud of dust from the Sahara Desert is blowing toward the southern United States, but meteorologists do not expect much effect beyond colorful sunsets.
Story here. (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20050723/ap_on_sc/sandstorm_cloud;_ylt=ArHXFp8Nzqx4RaRwHvgX.cys0NUE; _ylu=X3oDMTA3MzV0MTdmBHNlYwM3NTM-)
So much for the Milky Way hereabouts for a while.

Nancy Leider is probably salivating over this story!
Her take will be that it's the famous "Red Dust" from Planet X arriving. The "Sahara Duststorm" attribution is just part of the evil gubmint's cover-up.

Gravitational perturbations from PX stopped Earth in its tracks. Momentum from the Saharan sands caused it to become airborne. You can fill in the rest. :)
