Anyone here watching "So you think you can Dance" on FOX TV? My wife does so I get to hear it while I do something else such as expand my Egyptian Empire in 'Civilization IV'. Last night had brief introductions of the finalists and I hear one say something like "My star-sign is Pisces". I'm thinking "Poor lady. Not as poor as the Lydians. They really shouldn't have declared war against mighty Egypt!". After the second and third dancer states their sign it's becoming clear to me that they've been instructed to give this information by the powers-that-be of the show. Each of these dancers had about 20 seconds to give general information about themselves and they were instructed to give their astrological sign. No wonder astrology won't die. Apparently, someone thinks it's important for dancers and those who watch and vote for them. Of course, someone could say the same thing about me regarding my religon.
However, one of the finalists says something like "I'm an Aquarius, but I'm not sure I believe in that stuff". I'm thinking cool! At least this one has doubt and is expressing it. Typical Aquarian... 8-[

Hey!
My wife was watching that as well, when I was working on my laptop in the room last night!
Swoopy, my co-host was there on the couch with her, and we ALL said the same thing...
It started with ... "Why are they telling us their star-sign?"
Then that guy was like... "I don't believe in that stuff..."
Suddenly I thought: "THERE IS HOPE!"

Yeah, I say we go to his house and steal the Beta disk he somehow aquired, who's with me? Of course, whoever gets it burns copies for everyone else, that goes without saying.

Opps, sorry.
It was Civ III. I guess I've been anticipating Civ IV so much that I've already replaced Civ III in my mind. I'll either get it the day it is out or let my wife get it for me for Christmas. Either way I pretty much already have it in my mind.
Really. There's no need to drop by, wreck my door frame, scare the cats and track dirt all over the floor. As soon as my wife found out it was because of Civ she'll make me clean up after you all and that will cut into my Civ-time and as fellow Civ'ers I can't believe you'd allow that to happen.

Sadly! It wasn't, but now that the game is real and available, it isn't much of a great thing that I have a copy now! :|
