Hey everyone, PROOF of water on Mars. Not only that, but life. Just look.

I mean, you can see the water, even see the waves. But what's most telling - you can see boats! Look, they even leave wakes as they swirl around.

Silly, Mars doesn't have a blue atmosphere for it to reflect.

Silly. It doesn't have a green atmosphere, either. /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Are you saying it has a black atmosphere?

Only at night.

That's one heck of a flashbulb.

Do you see the promontory just below center, kind of an appendage? Blow it up ('bout a hundred times) and you can see it's laid out in regular city blocks. I think Keith is right.

Shades of "he who shall not be named". /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_eek.gif

Don't laugh. On the Enterprise Mission message board, there are serious discussions going on along these exact lines.

Boy I'd love to explore this area on foot (er, wearing proper life-support, of course!)
How is Richard Hoagland's version of science like 8 oz of flat beer? You get the beer from the mouth of a stale half-bottle, and Hoagland's science comes from the mouth of a stale halfwit.
Boy, if that ain't an ad hominem nothing is. But maybe it takes people way out in left field to balance the rigidly conservative investigators? Sorry for the rambling post--taking cold meds and a little dopey.

Somewhere there's a map of the best route for climbing the "Face on Mars."

I got the meaning of the "wink" at the end of your message. It does look very wet doesn't it? But it's dark sand. Still, it would be fun to see up close.
If someone follows the link you provided they'll see it's from the APOD website(Astronomy Picture of the Day.) The caption from APOD reads: "The "water" that appears near the bottom is actually dark colored sand." Cool pic! (Literally.) Thanks for posting!
P.S.
Someone likes acronyms: Here's a few more!
