I have just been accepted to do a PhD in Environmental Education Reform!!!! and its going to be funded!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D

some details - completed Masters last year through Uni of Southern Queensland and now gonna take 5 years, several thousand kilometres of travelling and almost 100000 words at Deakin University (external) ,but i will be Dr. damienpaul aka Dr. Alice

no no, :lol: had 23 years there! Nah I am doing the project externally, especially as the base for the research is here in Alice Springs.

Sounds like a fasicinating area, I heard a story about a scholl in western Australia that had it's own solar power station, run by the student :blink: that was four years ago !!!
I've seen student conducting water and air quality tests, taking part in the world solar challenge !
There are some pretty smart kids on the way up, are you looking into Adult Education or the private / public devide or maybe all the above ??

definitely all of the above! I know about the solar car challenge - the NT's first model solar challenge last year was won by my school and guess who was the coordinator of it?

Thank you everyone - party at Frasers or Kashi's! but it is amazing as i have had to set it up from scratch (took me a year to do) and the fact that I was pegged to only be able to go to year 10!!! and was laughed at when i was to start teaching!!!
