Wow is all I have to say, I bought a Luxon Refractor
Specs:
Telescope: F700/76mm
Eyepiece: H20mm, H12. 5mm, SR4mm
Barlow lens: 2x
Finder-scope: 5x24
Magnification: F700:20= 35x F700:12. 5=56X F700: 4=175x
With Barlow lens: 35x2=70x 56x2=112x 175x2=350x
I got it for £60 from ebay and I have to say its well worth the money, Ive seen many stars in it (I also bought a Galaxsee Cd for the PC), and I can now pin-point Sirius in the sky, (a month ago I wouldnt know where to point), Ive seen Saturns rings slowly rise through the month, and 4 of Jupiters moons revolving round the planet (which I can see 2 bands.)
Just tonight I was out looking at the Moon and Venus, coming 4' to each other,
Its well worth buying if your a learner like myself, I dont know if its still £60 or if I got it for a bargain.
I cant wait for tonight to try it out again (hopefully itll be clear, unlike 90% of most nights we've had in England.)
