Have you guys read about this story yet? Scientist from South Korea reported on Thursday they have created human embryos through cloning and extracted embryonic stem cells, the universal cells that scientists expect will result in breakthroughs in medical research.
stem-cell technology have been hailed as holding potential cures for many crippling illnesses, such as diabetes, spinal cord injuries and Parkinson's disease.
Personally I don't agree with this, but since they can be use in medical... then its ok... I don't know why they have to ban it :(

I don't know why you wouldnt agree with this Tiny - they arent cloning people they are creating cells that can be used for medical purposes. Eventually this technology will allow them to grow you a new heart, or new lung, or any other organ that you need, as well a being able to make regenerative medicines.
And they havent banned anything yet - their is laws in some countries about cloning people but they would not extend to cloning cells for medical purposes.
