Local reports say a good show is coming up for Aurora Borealis tonight. I am located in the midwest, and I always remember it starting up around 2-3 AM. I just wonder if it can happen any earlier than that?

I'm on the AuroraWatch email list - they send out alerts the moment they suspect a good show might be about to happen. So far, I've had nothing... which either means your local reports are wrong or there's something wrong with the email system. I got the standard summary reports though so as far as I know, everything is working okay.
If I get an alert come through, I'll post it.
