OK. So there are lots of people posting alternate theories of reality in the "Against the Mainstream" area; they defend their theories passionately and many of the threads in there are quite long.
Similarly, the "Lunar Conspiracies" area gets a fair amount of traffic--at least periodically--from people who believe the moon landings were faked. Similarly, they also are at least loud (if not logical) in their arguments.
So why is the Planet X forum so devoid of Planet X proponents? Most of the threads here contain great arguments and analyses, but all the debunking is done vis a vis other Web sites, videos, etc. Why are none of the Planet X folks adding their voices to the mix?

Phil added the forum to the board as a precautionary measure (http://www.badastronomy.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?topic=2034&forum=10&24), expecting that the Planet X traffic would soon proliferate because of recent and expected publicity. Better to be safe than sorry, eh?

Both sides are speaking out, very loudly, on the sci.astro news group. http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&group=sci.astro

Maybe it's either
1)the people are so scared of Nibiru that they don't even want to talk about it. Mentioning the Earth-killer would only send spine chills.
2)the people have much more to focus on than the so-called "Nibiru".
I'm doing the latter. /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif
