Okies...I got the new camera and it holds -a lot- of promise for some basic astrophotography work. Was messing with it in the dark a bit tonight around the house and it's quite light sensitive :-) With an ISO 400 equivilant and a 16 second shutter speed (along with an F 2.8 max aperature) basically the pics I took around the house at night looked like daytime! LOL! With the street lights out front, I shot a pic down the street and the whole street was lit up. I -know- I'm not going to be shooting the Horse Head nebula anytime soon with this setup, but I have high hopes that I should be able to get some pics of globulars and some of the brighter nebulas (maybe the Andromeda galaxy) and such. Now...my question is....

I did get an adaptor with this camera to use standard 52mm photographic filters and lenses with. Sense my scope has the T-threads built on, all I -should- need is a 52mm to T-ring adapter correct? I'm not totally sure what the threads are on the camera itself, but the adapter steps up to 52mm so that should give me something to work with...comments/suggestions here? (BTW...yes I'm talking for prime focus photography here)

Tomorrow night and Sunday night is supposed to be pretty decent here weather-wise, so (hopefully) I'll get a chance to head out the state park and will try some piggy-back stuff and some eye piece projection efforts and see how much I can "squeeze" out of this new rig :)

As usually, thankyou for everyones collective wisdom and experience!
Bright Blessings & Gentle Breezes,
Jim
