Telescope in Singapore

I have a Meade ETX-90 telescope with me here in Singapore. The skies are not often clear and light pollution is a bic problem. I'm debating whether I should keep it here or take it back to my other home in Tucson Arizona during my next trip back in three days time. My reason to take it back now would be to make my eventual move back to Tucson easier, with less things to carry. But I'm afraid I might miss some big event that by luck I could see from Singapore if we had a clear night.

Is anyone aware of any great southern hemisphere sky events coming up in the next six months or so? Is there any website to look for those types of things?
