Did anyone see or hear of a large green meteor this morning at 1030 GMT, 52" 0' 55" North 2" 50' 20" west. Kingstone Herefordshire UK, it looked like it was going West south West, very fast, glowing green, and pulling a hugh white vapour trail.
This is not a wind up, I can't believe that no one else saw it, it made no noise so it must have been quite high in the atmosphere

These beautiful phenomena are often seen by only a few people.
As it was probably at a height of forty or fifty kilometers it would have been visible over a hundred mile radius- most of southern England. But if there were scattered clouds, or something good on telly, there may well have been no other witnesses at all.

Incidentally the green colour seems to have something to do with atomic oxygen in the upper atmosphere.
