I have recently taken possession of a new Maksutov – you may wish to leave now if you are prone to aperture envy.
I know one shouldn’t brag but there are times when you just can’t resist, this thing arrived in an enormous delivery van, the weight and size is amazing and the aperture a full.....
30mm!!

the gregorian secondary yields an upright, correct image, unlike concave mak correctors---right? you might want to dig deeper in ATM 1, 2, 3...

Yes, a Gregorian yields a correct image, whilst a Cassegrain yields an inverted image - irrespective of the meniscus in the Maksutov variants.
However the Little Mak is unusual in that....
Viewing the Little Mak from the front the meniscus is convex. It is effectively fitted inside out when compared to standard/more common Maksutov designs.
Obviously as the secondary of the Little Mak is aluminised directly onto the inner surface of the meniscus this produces a concave mirror therefore making the scope a Gregorian and producing erect images.
