Ok its not astropotography. But could,nt think of what other heading to put it under.
Anyway, just got back from the autumn equinox star party. It was billed as the biggest event of its type in europe.Plenty to see from my 50 and 100mm binos to a 25" dobbie.
A couple of scopes were mounted on the latest paranount. This mount is so accurate it is used in the USA for tracking space debris. One guy had a G14 and a 6" Tak with all the gizmos and gadgets attatched. 40,000 Ks worth of mouthwatering kit.
Weather at night was indifferent. Well it is the UK. So observing was limited. Daytime however was sunshine all the way. So loads of solar oberving. The best view was through a Tak sky 90 with hydrogen alpha set up. The "WOW" factor came in here. Now I know why Dave Mitsky has such a keen intrest in solar observing.
Anyway, booked my tickets for the spring party and thought I,d show a photo of a guy who always brings a selection of big Taks along to share with others.
